Hands-On Photos and Videos from Nikon J1 and V1

Today Nikon announced their Nikon 1 mirrorless system with J1 and V1. There were two events in Sofia, Bulgaria about official launch of the CX-format mirrorless cameras. I could only attend the second one, but I tried the Nikon J1 and V1.

Nikon has announced V1 and J1 mirrorless cameras, four new Nikon 1 System lenses and some accessories. The sensors are a new CX-format (joining DX and FX) – 10.1 Megapixels 13.2×8.8mm CMOS . The crop factor is 2.7x.

Nikon V1 and Nikon J1 – first mirrorless digital cameras from Nikon

After 25 hours Nikon will enter the mirrorless market with Nikon V1 and Nikon J1. They use 10.1 megapixel sensor with ISO from 100 to 3200. EXPEED 3 image procesor will allow Full HD video recording with 60 fps and good quality in low light conditions.

The crop factor is 2.7x which is more than Sony NEX , Samsung (APS) and Panasonic, Olympus (m4/3 2.0x) but less than Pentax Q.

The mirrosless system will start with 4 lenses. Adaptor for F-mount lenses will be available.
